French Modal Ellipsis and Anaphora: Testing the Epistemic Restriction

This project in collaboration with Anouk Dieuleveut and David Müller investigates French modal ellipsis and anaphora, with particular attention to the availability of epistemic readings. It presents evidence from an acceptability-judgment experiment with 213 participants. The proceeding is coming, and certainly a follow-up experiment.
